Admissions

Tapestry Charter High School offers a free, public high school education that meets the New York State standards for graduation with a Regents diploma.

Tapestry Charter High School opened in September 2006 for grade 9 only. The first 9th grade class has 50 students; all subsequent 9th grade classes will have 75 students.

Entrance is guaranteed for all 8th grade Tapestry Charter School students who apply.

Since there is only one class of 25 Tapestry 8th graders who could potentially move up to 9th grade, at least 50 additional students will be accepted for 9th grade each subsequent year.

Students who live in the city of Buffalo will be given preference for admission.

If the number of applications exceeds the available spaces, a blind lottery will be held.
